Protests continue during the final week of the regular season as more than a dozen players protested either during or right after national anthem on Sunday.
Nine Seattle Seahawks sat or knelt during the anthem.
Titans WR Rishard Mathews stayed off of the field during the anthem.Some of his teammates raised their fists after the anthem was finished.
Kenny Sills of the Dolphins kneeled during the anthem.
Eric Reid and a few other 49ers knelt during the anthem before their game started.

Well, those of us participating in the counter protest, the season will be ending soon, does our protest end soon? While I appreciate some of us stuck to our guns, it sure is a let down how many put a game and a few ball playing buffoons above our country. That's how it is I guess... I'm not sure if we accomplished anything.

how many of these guys were supporting blm while they were calling for cops to be shot i dont remember a huge outcry and boycott over that. I support anyone that is boycotting the nfl but accusing others of putting the game ahead of their country sounds like something taken right out of the liberal playbook.

Remember the chants to kill cops i have no problem saying that i consider players who support that group much worse than not standing for the anthem.

I watch the sport for entertainment same as i watch movies. Doesnt matter what liberal idiocy the actors are into.
 
Jaws, you know the reason why there was limited backlash against blm, the word black. Too many Americans are afraid of the possibility of being "racist," all sense leaves their heads. While I think that's some of the case here, my thoughts have stayed the same. You guys just want to keep sucking these athletes you know what. I can totally agree sports can teach you a lot about navigating life. I know you said you watch because of bond time with your son, but not once have I heard you adress how these actions 1 false, 2 at an inappropriate time, or 3 make ANY effort have a discussion about this with your son, to try and at least prioritize things in life. You could have learned the same life lessons watching college, or some lower league , but no you have to suck the big ones.

And yes I steer clear of entertainment (movies, shows) with liberal idiots in them.

My football watching is down around 50% this year. It will most likely drop more next year. My dad stop watching all together.

That's just about everything. There are certain actors I do avoid.
