Shhhh, apparently the fact that he fought them in a shorter amount of time means that he is the baddest man on the planet.

This is sad too because I am normally the one who is defending Brock to the mma purists who don't think he belongs in the sport....
speaking of the baddest man on the planet :D...

I like Brock a lot and certainly think he belongs in MMA, but you can't say just because he's in the UFC that he's the best in the world. The UFC does not have a monopoly on MMA. Anderson Silva was the best in the world BEFORE joining the UFC. BTW, I'm quoting you because I can't have a rational conversation with some of the others on here. Before the Mir fight, I was one saying that he needed more time before saying he's the best in the UFC.

Fedor DOES understand some English, but not enough to negotiate a contract.

In addition to the good points I already made, I will now go out on a limb, way out perhaps, and make this (shocking) statement.

The Lesnar comparison to Kimbo someone made earlier was immediately jumped on as "Unfair", and I agree he has proven himself 50x the athlete.

HOWEVER I am not much more impressed by Lesnar, his capabilities, and his record, than I am by Bobby Lashley, his Capability, and his record. I put them not only in the same book but on the same page, or maybe one apart.;)

Some are going to pull the "well look who has a title and who doesn't", I know, but that is only because one of the wash-outs Lesnar fought was a man in his mid 40's coming out of a break so long it might be considered a short retirement, while all of the jokes Lashley has fought had no belt to offer. ;)

Hows that for a comparison? Thats coming from someone who not only trains but has been making and discussing "MMA" threads in the lounge since back in the "Takanori Gomi era".

I'm not trying to (completely) trash Lesnar, and look forward to him proving himself in future fights, which he has not done whatsoever yet......I am just trying bring him down off the shrine that his fanboys have made for him. :headbang2

1) Who has Brock fought in their prime?
2) Are you sure Fedor doesn't have a belt?
3) Is Machida the best Light Heavyweight in the world?
4) Is using fighters records an unacceptable way of comparing them? If so, what do you use?

1) As I said, Sylvia was closer to his prime when randy took his belt then he was when Fedor beat him and now. never said any were in their prime, but were definently closer the the what Fedor has fought in past years.

2) If they made a belt and gave it to him it would't mean squat. Your comparing the Pro Sports(UFC) to Highschool sports(M1). M1 isen't even a "B" or "C" company. take the ranking systems and see how high UFC fighters are on them Vs Elite XC or M1.

3) Biggest MMA company/federation and he has the belt. Currenlt confussious say yes.;)

4) Never said it wasen't. Just pointed out your the only one comparring records.

Simple logic of any job, business, sport, ect, is not what you did years ago......it's what have you done lately. And as time goes by and Fedor remains with his crappy company which ain't worth squat and keeps his self centered manager he will just go down in the ranks while others who are fighting the big fights are fighting twice a year. With no serious fighters to beat to climb the ranking, he will just go down as time goes by. So feel free to quote this....

You can't climb a ladder, if your on a step stool.;)

1) ok, so you admit he hasn't fought a single guy in their prime. So if he hasn't, and you say Fedor hasn't, why is it that the guy who has beaten 3 guys outweighs the guy who has beat 30?

2) You said he didn't have a belt, he does. Just simply pointing out what the truth is in this debate. Also, if you want to give weight to the ranking systems of the mma world, you should know that Fedor will be above Brock in almost any of them.

3) Ok, I disagree, but that's just a matter of opinion.

4) Records are how you compare fighters, it's as simple as that. When you have 2 guys, separated by a year and their records are 30-1 and 4-1, this should be a lot easier to resolve.

Brock's latest fights are with one former UFC heavyweight champ, and 2 guys who are over the hill.
Fedor's last 2 fights are against former UFC heavyweight champs.

The recent fights they have had are not that dissimilar, so when that happens, I'll take the guy who is 30-1 or 4-1.

señor, start making your posts in a other then blue. Tired of highlighting your posts to read them.;)

LOL I'm not sure what color cheme your using, but I checked light, dark, and grey modes and my blue posts stand out well on all of them, easily read. :nilly::chillpill:

That said, The only thing Fedor would have to worry about is if Mr.T decided to make an MMA debut, "I pity the fool!" (Mr.T reference FTW) :headbang2

FEDOR IS SCARED OF THE UFC!!!

About as much as he is afraid of Tim Sylvia..

I wonder how many of you would actually leave your ladies if Lesnar came out and proposed to you. That's the problem with the UFC these days, it's turning into some thing that makes all the popped collar boys feel so cool, and super duper macho. I would prefer to just read this, and smile.

Let's get it on...
