just a random though... the foundation wall and the ajoining tank wall would need to be sealed together and water proofed both ways as any water around in the ground is going to wick into the seam and mess up the whole deal

Ouch. My 2 were bad enough!
A year's worth of beans (if we're eating a lot, but not entirely and only), lessee, that's probably about 150lbs and about $0.50 per pound.. A buck a pound at the worst if buying in bulk for nice clean organic beans. Yah eating cheap is good. I make spectacular chili. Apparently I shall be making more of it.
