Odd behavior

I got a new ray pup in and it is acting oddly. It is continuously curling and uncurling it's disc in both directions but if it wants to move it does so normally.

It hasn't started to eat yet and it has good coloration.

Any advice would be great.

He was looking better last night. But this morning he was doing it again and spinning in rapid circles. All water parameters test at normal (ph 7, nitrates/nitrites 0, ammonia 0, etc). Could this be some sort of parasite? If so could I do what I do with discus and drop the pH slowly to about a 4 for a couple weeks?

I wouldnt drop the Ph but im not sure whats up with the ray.... Is your tank newly setup? the tank if newly set up needs time to cycle and build its bacteria system up
