Odoe or Vittatus?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Depends on community.....

Typically communities involving ATF are based around ATF so tank mates must be chosen carefully.

Odoe are much more suited to life in our glass cages. Would be nice knowing your tank was a mansion for a small group, rather then knowing it could be too small for even one.

Teeth are great...... IF you have the room, but I'm not sure anyone's going to convince me 400 is enough.

Ok thanks guys the Vittatus is available right now(lfs) so ill prob go with that opposed to waiting on an odoe. Both typically top out at around 20" right?

Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

It'll top out at about 20" and will take a very long time to get there, about ten years. The biggest vittatus I've seen was 26" and 18 years old.

Every odoe I've had was very skittish and my current one is the worst. It will flip out and bolt from one end to the other while causing the other fish to panic.I'm not sure if tiger fish behave this way but it is something to consider.

:wall:

Another crazy Odoe.......

Box it up and send it my way, I'll send you a Brycon and everyone is happy.

I'm willing to bet if you had 3-4 it wouldn't be a spaz.

What kind of brycon...I've been after that one with the black slash in its tail fin for like forever.

I know..... IF I had a shipping account I would have just sent you my little guy already, cause I know you've been looking, and I'm starting to get a bit worried about him in the big boy tank.....

How far are you from Chicago???? lol

Philly Pa. lol....

Sorry for derailing your thread Lorenzo, but I would happily get in on this "brycon for Odoe" switch action. I've been thinking about a brycon for a while now, not to step on any toes Krich.

Back on point, I think you're going to enjoy the VATF more than the Odoe. Pics when you pick him up!
