I know this thread is a little dated, but figured I'd post my Odoe experience ..... when I got the pike he was about the same size as my Goliaths .... he would chase them, but very infrequently .... I noticed some wounds on the ATFs occasionally, but since they often bash into things I didn't think it was the pike ... then I saw first hand the aggression of the pike ... he wouldn't attack often, but when he did it was extremely violent towards the ATF's .... I put him in time out in another tank for a month or 2 in the hopes that the ATF's would grow a bit, since the pike was out growing them .... the pike started eating dead food much earlier than the ATF's and he would attack freeze dried krill like a lunatic, launching water out of the tank ... tried putting him back in, and he behaved for a little, then started again .... oddly enough he wasn't afraid of anyone, except a golby about half his size ... the golby never attacked the pike, would just swim near him, and the pike was just petrified of him, oddly enough, kind of like an elephant and a mouse .... pike went back into the time out tank, at about 9 inches ..... next my Nile perch started eating tank mates so he went into time out with the odoe ... Nile Perch was about 14 inches, and the pike beat the crap out of him, leaving wounds on his sides and such .... had to get rid of both fish since keeping them in a 40 gallon breeder was cruel and I knew they'd never be able to go back with the ATF's .... maybe more pikes would have toned down aggression, but this is my experience ... my buddy had similar experiences with the pike ATF combo ... it could work, but more than likely it wont
