While I was familiar with the artwork and the magazine it was featured in I did not know that character's name.

There's no baseball thread that I can recall so I'll post here,MLB officials are considering using CGI type special effects to project the illusion of stadium seats full of cheering fans during their baseball games in the otherwise empty ballparks.

It sure is as far as I'm concerned.

I was watching a boxing match on Showtime without a crowd (maybe a dozen people) and I couldn't watch it. Without a cheering crowd it's just not exciting. And when I look at the numbers I have to wonder what's gotten into people ... or if my math is incorrect.

Population of United States = 328,200,000
Number of covid-19 deaths = 168,000

168,000 / 328,200,000 = 0.000512
0.000512 * 100 = 0.0512% // convert to percentage

0.05% chance of dying from covid-19 in US at this time

If cases reach 328,200 by end of year ...

328,200 / 328,200,000 = 0.001 * 100 == 0.1%

Hello; I do not think your math is wrong but those officials who put out counts look at it another way I think. I believe they tend to compare the number who get infected with those who actually die. I think the last numbers I can recall is the death rate among the infected is somewhere around two tenths or three tenths of one percent (0.02 to 0.03 i think) A rate higher than the annual death rate for seasonal flu of around 0.01% I think. It is still early to call a final count but this covid19 is proving to not be as bad as we were led to believe back when they predicted 2.2 million deaths in the USA alone.
