This new treatment is not poison? What does it do then, irritate the termites and cause them to leave?
I've only read a little. there is a certain patented form that kills dry wood termites on contact and supposedly also travels through wood it is sprayed on. Not being a true poison, won't keep killing them long term.
Good side is, the safety for humans & pets. you don't have to vacate home.

Actually, I believe so. I heard some pest don't like the citrus odor. I've been told before to use watermelon peels on anthills... and it has worked a few times.

Once I poured an old can of sprite on and anthill and boom! No more ants a week later.

I could have sworn I've seen ants all over watermelon peels I've thrown out

@Spoiler,I like that it supposedly soaks through the wood to get at the termites.

rock, if you've seen them that means there's already a colony

only option is to burn the house down and find a new place to reside and cross your fingers it won't have termites

That could be more atributable to the chemical ingredients in the soda than the small amount of citrus that the Sprite might contain.

I saw a late night show selling a book that gave all kinds of ways to get rid of pests with everyday household items such as citrus fruit peels, herbs, some oils and things like that to get rid of ants, termites, spiders, rodents, etc

I really wanted to buy the book just to see if they work

supposedly "travels through wood, by path of least resistance" (goes with the grain).

LOL. classic sumo.

Lol, you don't think the first thing I did was turn the furnace on, in 90 degree weather? I did, as I sat there sweating, not only did I see it not working, but the headlines,
"Man Burns Down House Trying To Kill Termites"
kept going through my mind, so I stopped. :)
