Today is day without a women day...smh schools are being closed for this....complete idiocy
Please excuse my ignorance, but what is "women's" day? When is "Men's" day? Is there a "Men's" day? Ten bucks says men's day isn't a thing...
"I want gender equality, but you have to treat treat me like a snowflake at my convenience! Because I'm a woman!" They're idiots, absolute idiots...
Not everyone has access to real good meals and gym services or information regarding that. Some people are more prone to obesity than others genetically. Not an excuse for everyone but not everyones lifestyle or income makes it easy to maintain a healthy weight
it is a disease for sure. Even the medical/genetic conditions aren't a complete excuse. They may not make it easier but it sure isn't impossible to stay at a decent weight.
I just told him he was a sexist and left it there lol. I was joking but I think he may have taken it to heart.
My cousin has polycystic ovaries and has a bit of trouble keeping weight off. She's 6'2 and at her biggest weighed almost 140kgs when she was 17-18ish, then she started getting all depressed because of her size, so she got off her ath and went for a walk... Then a jog... Then a run... Then ate a healthy meal.. Then another jog... It took while but she now weighs somewhere around 95kgs and looks great. She works really hard to keep herself at a "normal" weight because she wants to live to be 50 lol
The whole "its a medical condition" thing bugs me, I know people with spinal injuries, lung problems etc and they still get off their butts and go for walks - granted a spinal injury doesn't affect your bodies ability to burn fat, but it damn sure makes excersize harder than it needs to be! My mother is lucky not to be in a wheelchair because of an incident that took place when she was a young teen. At times (mainly when its cold) she can barely get out of a chair, but she walks to the shop instead of driving when she needs milk, she cooks meals at home with an oven and not a deep fryer... If people with spinal injuries and breathing difficulties can manage small amounts of excersize to keep them healthy then why can't everyone else?
I'll stop now, the "weight debate" is something I could rant about for a week so I'll shut up before I get myself in trouble lol
On another topic, my power was out for ages last night between 12:30am and 2:00am, I'm about to ring them to find out what the hell happened and if they planned to tell people it had happened because if I wasn't awake at a ridiculous hour I wouldn't of known it had happened and would of been very upset/confused when my fish started dying and my tanks showed a mini cycle... Over an hour and a half with no bloody power!!! Fish seemed fine when it came back on but still...
I'll be testing the tanks like there's no tomorrow so I can catch the spike before it get to 'spikey', its safe to assume I'll get a mini cycle right?
