We had brawls over toilet paper a few days ago. Now the same people are complaining that supermarkets won't refund their money when they realise no one really needs 300 rolls of toilet paper and they try to take it back. . .

LOL . . I noticed a modest shortage of paper goods at the local store, and not one case of Covid-19 has been reported here.

The last time I was at the store we only had three cases in my state. About an hour - two hours away. So not in my area exactly. Nearly all tp was gone. I had to buy a couple 4 packs instead of my normal 12 pack, leaving only one pack on the shelf.
I still don’t get it, why toilet paper?
Did someone that owns a toilet paper company start the rush on it? Lol

6am here's in Australia, just woke to the news the formula 1 has been cancelled as 2 of the suspected cases are now confirmed.
Basically we have let people with the virus in for no good reason and now there will be massive disruption and more panic.
Going to be an interesting day here in Melbourne, the government is going to get slammed over this fiasco.
Also tom hanks is here making an Elvis movie and he is a confirmed case.
Wonder what the Tokyo Olympic guys are thinking now?

The county I live in announced it's second case today.
Across the river in Orgeon has 20+ cases
Two hours north is one of the biggest hotspots in the United States in the Seattle area.

My last trip to the store, things like hand sanitizer, wipes, mask were completely gone. Paper products were barely there.

Dammit!....they've cancelled the gun show this weekend.

They are canceling many major crowd events or limiting crowds in the U.S. including MLB practice, NBA, NHL and PGA among others. They canceled the St. Patrick's Day parade in Cleveland and probably elsewhere.

My mom is in a nursing home and they are limiting visitation to one person per day per resident after checking for signs of illness and questioning contact with others. I think it's appropriate considering the fragile health of many residents and I don't have any problems with the new policy.

My understanding of the various cancellations is that health officials are trying to avoid having a mass influx of infected patients which can overwhelm hospitals and staff and would rather have patients trickle in as necessary.

I don't understand the toilet paper hoarders since COVID-19 is a respiratory illness. :duh:

Well my old friend is doing OK, and his town is far from the hotspots.

We worked on the dunebuggy and his old Dodge truck. It looks very low compared to my Tacoma.

He had put disk brakes on his '52 Plymouth wagon, and yesterday we bled them and got them to stop leaking.

A new gun would come in handy to protect your toilet paper stockpile!

As for the Grand Prix, it's still no officially cancelled or officially going ahead. The news services are trying to figure out what's going on but some of the drivers have been spotted at the airport flying out of the country.
