Quick question, I am wondering with the salt at this high of a level for this long will harm the small (7-8") silver arowana that's in the same tank. Just wondering.

no he will be ok.

any progress?

Not much actually, she has this like discoloration around her tail, not really sure what it is. It isnt fuzzy like the fungus on the other one was just discolored. Actually looks like it's just a spot that is lacking pigment. She's still eating like a champ though, growing pretty fast too.

any recent good pics? i might lay off the salt, etc and just stick to waterchanges for a few to see what happens...

Well the spot on the female's tail has enveloped the end of her tail, it doesnt seem to be moving up the body any, but it doesnt look good.

Okay I 've ruled out bacteria that could be the underlying issue causing the fungus growth. So I guess I'm going to treat for parasites now. Seeing as how she is still really small and is still only eating blackworms how would I get her to ingest prazipro?

The fungus deteriorated her tail almost to the stinger and I'm assuming since I've treated with a broad spectrum of fungus, and bacterial meds it has to be a parasite that has weakened her immune system.

do a few massive water changes( flush the tank so to say) and then re salt it...

I've done all of the above a few different time's. I'm gonna treat with prazipro, was just wondering how to get a ray this small to ingest it. Or I guess I was wondering if just treating the tank would be sufficient for internal parasites?

Ive seen the white segment a couple times and its not fungus. It's usually becuase the tail hit something or its too cramped. If you dont salt it soon and do massive water changes the white segment will fall off. Asfor prazi, just treat the tank water, unless you want to inject it into worms.
