Now that's a beautiful con!
But, it's also a perfect example of the differences between total length and standard length measurements. I'd say a good 2" on this fish.

Ok since it's back, I said in another post I was at Petsmart yesterday buying fish food and noticed this guy so I bought him little 2.5" humpy head pics are not the best you can get the idea. I think he has the potential to grow into a mini monster.
Natalie that con is gorgeous! I've never been crazy about marbles but that one changes everything. The fins are amazing.
I have 6 con's this one is the oldest around 3yrs is my best guess. I've had him for 2yrs. He's called King Henry for all the wife murdering he's done. He's not allowed to date anymore. I've never measured him, I'm guessing around 5".
He doesn't like having his picture taken.
A mother and daughter (half in the pic) mom is 2yrs old. They're both around 3" now.

I have a 5 months old Con I love him my other one just died a year ago i figured i would get a new one i like the color of yours i will try to get a pic on here soon
So here's my male con, picked him up from the LFS about 3 months ago... He killed his first lover, but his newer lady is aggressive enough to stand up to him haha
I'm excited to see how his hump grows as he gets older/bigger - it's doubled in size since I got him, he's around 3"

i just got my first con!!!!
a little tailess female i saved from a petsmart bin..she was the only one with out a tail i have ever seen super colorful!!...there was a very uneducated girl sitting in front of the tank saying how cute she was..and she could go in her bowl...(witch she was holding along with fake plants and a bag of rocks.....so i snagged her..she is about 2 inches now^_^ i hope to get her a male when i move her to the 25 gallon
(yessss that is a goldy in the pic with her...sens she was a rescue/impulse buy, the goldy was rehomed the next day)
love her personality...my very first cichlid
