Opinions on new piranha setup

I have heard that P's are generally more aggressive with each other and form a heirarchy over time, and the thing about fish with that sorta social structure is that in a tight space it could be a mission.

I have nothing against piranhas, but I couldn't imagine keeping 3 fish that end up on the larger scale at 8-10"+ (?) in a 75. The only thing is if things get ugly there is nowhere to run and water quality can run downhill. I'm not trying to bash anyone or anything I just think that there are much more logical choices for stocking in a tank this size piranha wise. Just my 2c

its all good. there's a difference between 3 is max (agree) and 3 is "way overstocked" (incorrect) which is what my man said. if dude wants to keep 3 reds in a 70, it can be done and fairly easy at that. the filtration/water change game is true to any set up. if you don't want to change water you shouldn't own fish.

Haven't heard much about those filters anybody else have experience with them? Always heard good things about eheim and fluval so figured I'd go with one of those.

alright peeps, got a question for you. every time a piranha thread comes up, the first thing out peoples mouth is p's are messy. happened like 3-4x this thread. can you please elaborate on that? what makes p's soooo messy? not trying to break any balls here, but I think people just regurgitate what they heard and don't really have any real basis for their comment.

They have a very messy way of eating, just breaking off large chunks of whatever. Plus large chunky preds generally are messy waterwise with their high-protein diets. That's my idea

p's themselves are no messy than cichlids. in fact 1 oscar is far "messier" than 3 rbps. the problem is bad feeding habits from irresponsible owners that cause the "mess"
