Here is the video they are still biting at the rock and flaring and chasing others. im pretty sure they are courting let me know what you think. [YT]ADivFRKIE3I[/YT]

so what do you guys think their still doing the same thing since 3:00 so if they are courting when do they usaully lay the eggs?

They can keep that up for days or they could spawn tomorrow. If they spawn the eggs will be visable for a couple of days then the wigglers will be hidden for about a week, then one day you will see a swarm of fry swimming around the parents. When they signal danger the fry will all dash into one of the parents mouths for safty. Unless you pull the fry and raise them yourself or set the parents up in a seperate tank noth will survive in your community tank.GL

thanks for the info. i will probaly strip the parents because like your said they arent going to make it in my tank. if they do lay eggs and they dont swallow them when would be the best time to strip them after the eggs are layed.

Once they lay the eggs pull the stone and put it in a small tank with a sponge filter. Keep the stone submerged in a small bucket while removing it from the tank. add a little Methylene Blue to the water to help prevent fungas. The eggs should hatch in a few days. keep steady but gentle flow of water movement around the eggs with an airstone.

Ok so it has been 3 days since this behavior has started and its still going. Right now their digging a big hole in a corner of the tank but i always thought they werent substrate spawners. So im honestly not sure what they are doing

they want a corner because it is defensible. but the slick bottom on tank there probably doesn't seem compatible with the eggs "sticking". so they return to the indefensible rock surface. That catfish is swooping in to eat the eggs as soon as they are laid & he is so bold the geos can't keep him away. too much bottom predation in the tank, you'd be lucky to have eggs anywhere for a few minutes.
IMO, the whole beauty of spawning redheads is watching the parental care. it can take several tries for them to learn, but it's pure joy to watch, and the reason I chose them.
