I started the moonlight thing when I had a pair spawning with other tankmates present, & eggs/fry disappeared every time I turned lights off at night.

Congrats! are you thinking of taking whole rock out and raise the fry in a separate tank?
 
I got a weird update... I geuss i have two lesbian fish because the other fish that i thought was a male that was paired up layed eggs today LOL. So i just took the rock out and cleaned the eggs because obviously they werent fertilized. Hopefully one of the other two orangehead is a male because i was looking forward to seeing some fry. And i have never had two females pair up together its just weird. I geuss i will just have to wait and see if i have a real pair this time. :)
