Oscar help... possible tumor, lump? Don't know.. help!

I decided since I had already started the metro treatment, I might has well finish it, or the entire process would have been even more useless. Also since Wednesday, I have stopped feeding him, hoping that if this is still some large constipation blockage, that some time away from food would help.... although in the past I have tried fasting him for 2 to 3 days and had no luck. Im really unsure how many days is 'safe' to starve him. I am sure he could last up to a week, but if this problem ISNT constipation and he has really little time left, I do feel bad denying him food in his final hours..

Today I will perform a large water change and let him rest, and hopefully, administer Marycn-1 on Monday.

ps- this entire time his water has still been treated with epsom salt as well.
 
Today makes 1 week of no food... I tried to feed him yesterday and he actually looked like he wanted to eat, came up to the top of the tank, and snapped 5 big pellets into his mouth as soon as they hit the water... but then spit them all out :(


Also no apparent reduction in his swelling... time to try Marcyn?
 
I suspect that this fish is slowly on its way out. Sorry to hear that he's not doing any better.

I fear you may be right.... I started treatment with Marcyn 1 today just the same, this is my last resort/medication I will be trying... is it recommended to treat with Marcyn 2 at the same time, or after treatment with Marcyn 1?
 
It is day 9 now of no-food for this oscar, and day 2 of Marcyn treatment..

Yesterday I noticed a weird protrusion from the oscars anal cavity, so I snapped some pictures. Not really sure what I am seeing....? Maybe a very eroded pebble finally trying to pass? Or something much worse....

i dont know what that is but whatever it is, its def a good sign that its coming out of him, keep up with the maracyn treatment, i fear that unless this treatment helps whatever it is that the poor guy wont last too much longer his color is not looking so good...
 
Today I woke up and noticed a small, very thin, piece of excrement coming out of him... Its not much, but at least a good sign. I know its probably foolish to be optimistic at this point, but maybe the 10 days of no food is finally helping push his system clean??
 
yeah its probably that and the maracyn, how long is the maracyn treatment? i would do the full treatment of that and if he still hasnt passed it i would go ahead and do a maracyn 2 treatment as well, after that im not sure what else you could do except for maybe tetracycline but not sure what that would do that the maracyn couldnt...
