I got hit on the thumb once, by an adult henlii as I was packing it. I bled for a couple of days, and hurt a couple weeks. I didn't see a Doctor, it is fine, but didn't heal right for months. & years later if I accidentally knock that area of my thumb it hurts more than it should. I probably wouldn't see a doctor if this happens to me again, but if there was stinger or sheath left in the wound then 100% I would see a doc.
to add.
In the US, every time someone goes to the E.R or an M.D with this kind of injury it is ( supposed to be) reported ... "stung by venomous pet, stingray".... . Please try not to get tagged , not to 'raise red flags' to some bureaucrat without a cause, so that we can all continue to keep rays legally. I got tagged because of my own incompetence, its the same for everyone else that gets tagged in tank and computers make it too easy to collate that kind of data, big brother IS watching you!
