I love Pacu!!! Ours was 28 years old and 40+ pounds when he passed away, and it was like losing a member of the family...Liz, I know EXACTLY how you felt when you lost yours. Ours was a Black, and I'd love to get another one, but haven't been able to find any around here...and I'm kind of wavering on another 30 year commitment to a fish....

I love pacu.

It is a loose term for most of the Colossoma, Metynus and Mylossoma. It actually encompasses about 200 species from 6" up.

I realize on this thread people think only of the Colossomas as being pacu.

Well I sure do like the Colossomas and all the others also. They live a long time if you treat them right.
