r they aggressive at all? and what would i be able to put with them? possibly tinfoil barbs and some plecos along with oscars? how big of a tank would you go with if i had 8 tinfoil barbs, 2 plecos, 4 oscars, and 6 piranhas? (that is if you could mix them, i dont know too much about the mixing of big fish so correct me if im wrong)
a dozen would do fine in a 125, although a couple dozen in a 240 or larger would be even better, haha
wow. i think maybe the piranhas would work better putter them in a 125 than buying a 1500 gallon tank for 3 pacu's. do the piranhas only get up to a foot? and are they aggressive at all towards their owners? (or is that only when they arent being fed properly?)
natts will only get to be 10-12", usually they top off around 10", but some have grown them larger.
you really shouldn't have to worry about them being aggressive towards you, that's not to say that you shouldn't always be cautious, but bites in the hobby are very rare.

r there different kinds of piranahs available? my lfs that i usually go to only has pacu's, but another lfs in the opposite direction carries red belly piranhas. r their other colors or varieties with the same traits?
the only kind that you should try mixing are p. nattereri, p. cariba, and p. piraya, anything from the serrasalmus genus should be kept in its own tank. if it's your first time with piranhas, i would recommend getting some natts to start with, down the road you can always swap out a few of your natts for some caribes or pirayas.
