Looks like a reg pink convict who just happens to be short bodied. Ive seen the real BP x CON cross and they get bigger than so called jellybean parrots.

Yes. Everything you said is true.

I dont get why they are called parrot at first place...they dont have any beak, nor they dont looks like a bp.

Because the LFS knew they could sell Blood Parrots for an arm and a leg, so when they got this new fish that had a round body like a parrot, they knew they could hike up the price by adding "parrot" to the fish's name. I don't know when the LFS suddenly became any sort of authority on hybrids...the LFS near me has thier killin parrots marked as "Neon Unicorn Giraffe Fish," should I believe that to be the correct name?:screwy::ROFL:

I have lots of these. I had some for sale and have given some away. They are called just about every stupid name you could give them here in PA. If you ask anyone at any of the LFS around here they will give you another story about what they really are. If you like the fish great! Always go with what you like no matter what anyone else says about it! Here is a pic of one of my pairs.

i believe that these are the real con x bp.

Where's the BP in that fish? I see Pink Convicts with spinal deformities, thusly making them shortbodied. Notice the bumps in the sides of the fish, where their twisted spines jut out past their centerline. That sounds like a deformity that's been line bred into these fish, as none of my BP's have ever had that condition. If the above fish were indeed Con x BP, they would almost certainly be grey-bodied fish with a black half-flowerline, not this perfect Pink Con coloration.

they are orange and look more like both parents than a shortbodied pink con. these also have the spotted tail like a low grade bp. they even have a wide parrot type tail that is not typical of a convict. all bps have a deformed spine. that is one of the reasons some people think it is cruel to breed them.

Even the guy who posted them says otherwise....:ROFL:Get over it...short pink cons....say it with me...Short pink cons....:D

those are orange. they don't look like the typical con passed off as a parrot. look at the tail. that is a parrot tail. i agree that most "jellybeans" are just pink cons, but those in the pic there look alot different. compare them to the pics on the first page and tell me that they are the same.

The color means nothing...That is almost an adult short body..You are comparing it to babies....Yes, they look much different just like with any other fish. How about you use the search function here, check out all of the threads for yourself, and THEN post back here and tell me what you think...If you have any trouble at all PM me, or say so here and I will start linking pertinent threads...I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm trying to help you learn man.
