Patio Garden Tank

Instead of painting the back and sides, I decided to go with "limo tint"...the darkest stuff I could find...

First you have to clean the glass with a quality cleaner or you'll never get it flat and it will look like crap from the inside.

Then I trimmed the film to rough size.
Using water, I misted the glass and slid the film into shape.
With a squeege you work out the water and air bubbles leaving the film smooth on the glass...

Trim the edges and there ya go...

OK...here we go again:screwy:
I just had a overwhelming desire to put bamboo on the base...
I've never seen that on a stand and it'll go with the theme.
Not sure if I can use a blind or have to split some rounds...
...off to the "Depot" :D

Back and I got the stuff to do the base...

I scored a couple of real wood trim lenghts
1/2"-1/4 round and 1"-outside corner.

I found a bamboo blind that I can canabalize for the bamboo strips...first I got to get rid of all that cord and the cleet mechanism, then I have a sewn panel of split bamboo -30 bux at the "depot"
I wonder if I roll it tight enough can it be cut with my circular saw that has a 60 tooth carbide blade...Hrmmm!?!
We'll see...

I also got a pair of hooded low voltage lights I can mount for some evening highlighting...
