Pbass tank size?! And pbass question

I think Ocells, Monos and Orinos are cheaper then Azuls. When I was into raising pbass you can find 2" babies at LFS's for like $10 each. This was 2-3 years ago though. I don't know if prices have gone up or not.

Yeah, I don't know about orinos, but I've seen 1" monos for $8 each, and 3-4" ocells for $15 each, both within the last year or two.

Wait so I can't put them in a large cichlid tank? Here's the stock I want
10- bristlenose plecos
3-oscars
3- dempseys
3- jags
3- convicts
2- Texas
2- cuban
2- red devil
2- firemouth
2- green terror
4- blood parrots
I know a lot will be bullied. Can any pbass go with this stock?

You are probably going to have lots of issues as it is, with that stock. You can't just throw 30 aggressive cichlids of vastly different sizes in a tank together and expect it to work out.

Ya I have some of the cichlids already. They are getting skin pretty well. Top predator will no doubt be the jags. My jacks are really aggressive though. So they might give the jags a run for the money. There will be hundreds of hiding spots all over. So there will be an escape for all fish. I'm not sure about the firemouths, I might take them out of the picture or ill breed them in the sump or a different tank. I might add a pair of cubans to the mix just to even it out a little.

Yup the jags may cause a problem but most of your stock will become food for the pbass once it outgrows everyone. I've had a 13+" Ocell try to eat a 6"-7" Green Terror before. Pbass aren't the smartest fish. Lol

Roflmao! That's hilarious! How big will a mono, ocell, and orino get? How big will their mouths be? Can they eat anything other than the convicts?

Ocells don't get as big. Maybe 15" not sure but monos and Orinos reach at least 16"-18". Also yes their mouths open quite large so they'll try and eat any fish they think they can get down even if they can't. They have brains like a RTC lol.

What happened to not getting them! just wondering Told you that you always change your mind constantly. As ive said many times, just wait and be patient and see where it goes, so if you do decide peacock bass or any other fish just wait until the giant tank is built! Donèt buy now and then have problems when you 500g turns into a 200g (just making an example). Also donèt know why you said your jumping in so big with 4 after we just said the fish are too aggresive and the pea bass will eat half your stock. Whats the point in even asking for advice when your just going to do it anyways

Im quite sure your wrong ocelli reach +20inches just like all peabass, thats why they are a game fish (plus the fight they bring) and recommended +300g tanks

Ya I wasn't certain on the sizes but I know they reach at least the 18+" mark. I remember my Guyana Ocell pretty much topped out at 15" before I got rid of it.
