I am against PETA but if they werent so radical and extreme they wouldnt have the world wide publicity that they do. I have seen them wield their marketing presence very unfairly. The Australian Government has officially condemed PETA as a terrorist organisation since PETA is willing to bully, bribe and intimidate large and small business` into a boycott against Aussie Wool. Their radical opinions and extreme tactics make other Animal and Green organisations much more conventional and safe by comparism. (Just what PETA want?)

So pehaps its worth them losing a few battles to win the war?

ill just put it really simple on my thoughts...... peta is not my problem or concern..

i agree with nic lol

peta, tree huggers, they are all extremists, if we listened to al gore co2 would be banned if that happens no one would be able to exhale im glad i dont live in calif or vermont

Wow...hadn't got on here since yesterday. Sorry about the confusing wording there, guys. Whoops.

BTW, why was this moved? Doesn't this fall under "...other pets?" as in besides fish? Just curious...

This is more of a opinion/discussion bit than it is a piece on caring for pets.

I am a "tree hugger" in that I believe in preserving diversity and maintaining sustainable harvest, I also hunt, fish, eat meat, and keep pets, all of which PETA seeks to ban. Don't confuse the two please.

I wonder what it was that caused PETA to exist?
perhaps it was an answer to sociopathic behaviour by some of us humans towards animals?

no its more a small group of people found they could accomplish there own agenda by manipulating the public and forcing there ideas on to people

theres ways to help animals without resorting to terrorism .

i understand why terrorist groups like alkida exist but peta have no reason to exist

I am against peta, i didnt vote cus it confused me... and if that was clarified then i musta missed it...

I just cant stand the way some of these people act, they protested when i worked at petsmart years ago and we had to call them "comets" because "feeder fish" was inhumane.
so now i have to get some "comets to feed my piranahs" my friend said to a protester.

I don't think this makes a lot of sense. I realize what probably you mean is a non human animal with a special status such as being endangered means less to you then your children. However killing endangered species is indirectly harming your children so it's not simply a them or us argument.

Indirectly... List one solid example of how it can indirectly affect them. Hearsay and speculation don't cut it. Emotionally affecting them isn't really an affect or effect since a couple generations down the road it will all be forgotten.

If all of the elephants disappeared from the earth it would be pretty sad, but I can still chug along. If something is so rare as to be endangered then I think that it's existence isn't a necessity for the rest of the life on the planet.
