Petco Plants?

If you are that concerned about bringing in pests, have you also considered in-vitro plants ? Would have to be from somewhere online like ebay. But this way, definitely no parasites, but you will have to set up to grow them yourself!
Ok, thanks! I know how to plant them etc. I guess I’ll get some Anubis’s and swords there! I’ll keep it updated.

Petco generally has their plants in a separate tank from the fish. I have actually bought a decent amount of plants from them with good success. Some of the plants have melted which I have read generally means they were grown not fully immersed in water. That being said they have rebounded nicely once they started to grow again. I do inspect all my plants and dip them. I do not care about the occasional bladder snail as I welcome them in my tanks. I would buy plants from Petco without issue. I do no however like the plants they have in the plastic tubes. They have always died on me.

I’m not sure if I’ve seen the tube plants from petcos by me, but I’d personally go with those from petco. Based on their fish in the tanks and their saltwater/corals, I’d expect anything from those tanks to carry ich with them.
