Petsmart employees.

Keep in mind, a lot them are high school or possibly college kids that may have never even had a fish tank. That's one of the offsets of a chain store. They often have cheaper prices than a LFS, but you lose knowledgeable staff.

The only thing I buy from Petsmart is dog food. I get all of my fish supplies online. Even after shipping it, it is much cheaper than the chain stores.

I had one tell me I could bread oscars in a 40 gallon.
you can breed oscar in a 40 gallon, but not the kind of dimensions of those tanks on petsmart or petco!

I got a lot of stupid advices from people work at petsmart and petco, but who cares I come there to find good fish and stuff with good prices, not to argue with stupid people!

not sure i understand what you're getting at, but 1 oscar can't even live in a 40 gallon, let alone a breeding pair.

How do they even have/sell fish? It's unbelievable. Today I had a lady tell me that feeding fish Beefheart was a terrible idea. She then went on to argue with me about panagasius. "no they don't get bigger then 25 inchs. Read the label is says it right there." I just had to stop talking while my gf got snails.

Feeding fish Beefheat IS a terrible idea >_>

He meant you can, just not with the typical 40 gallon tank. There are many ways to shape 40 gallons of water. If you go shallower, you can go broad and have much more space for them.

Alright settle down, lets not think that the rest of the world are as into fishes as we are. They get paid minimum probably and they are not and don't aspire to become hobbyist let alone fish professionals

Its really not the employees fault, have you ever read any of the info tags for the fish? While what the clerks tell you is wrong, its consistent with what their employer tells them to tell you.
