actually cascade was being used on an arow tank by a mfk member vinnstar who hooked me up with it so i woundnt have to worry about cyclying it out due to the fact that these arrows were in a tub 4 three days and wanted to get em in the tank asap...thanx

That's good news.. test your ammonia daily is the filter was down to laong the bacteria could've died off. don't need the massive water changes unless there is a large increase in ammonia. Do need to keep under .25 ppm.

i have been taking everyones advice and appreciate it alot..me being a newbie to the arow world i need all the help i can get and dont want these great fish to get sick or die,,,keep the advice coming it seems that its been working out so far thanx again

ya filter was only off for an hour tops

Del if his tank isn't cycled and has only been set up a couple days. He will need to go daily to keep the ammonia from damaging his fish.

:iagree:

and keep that PH as low as possible..low PH diffuses the risk of ammonia being lethal..

you do that and you risk a pH crash, instant death.

if you have very acidic water and peform a say a 50 water change without know his tap parameters, that is risk of a pH shock and perhaps the death of his fish.

meh gesh! -_-

and a low pH will just keep ammonium from converting into its deadly form ammonia ;) nothing is diffused ;)
