Gervahlt, the OP has in no way indicated that he realizes he has made some seriously gross errors. He has not indicated that he plans to rehome them, and he has not indicated that he understands that what he is doing is morally and ethically wrong. It is animal abuse. Its that easy. You can sugar coat it all you want. This OP is bragging about animal abuse.

When he shows some remorse and and intent to correct the problem... then Ben will have over stepped his bounds. Until then, Ben is right.

Really? Because I thought the following three posts by him did a pretty good job of showing that a 14 year old was listening to people and trying to do the right thing.

Sounds like he's acknowledging that he'll be getting rid of some and stocking with more appropriate fish to me...

oh i did not know that when my nitrates get back down will that fix their immune system or are my fish doomed to die because i screwed them up.

Amazing what being able to read instead of knee-jerking can do to keep someone from looking like an idiot...too bad you didn't. The OP should have researched; yes. He's not the only person in the world to not have done so. He IS taking excellent care of the tank and fish, otherwise they wouldn't look like they do. He HAS said that he'll be getting rid of some and stocking with fish that will work for a 55. And he's learning by the same process most of learned in this hobby: trial-and-error and listening to people. Not bad for a 14-year-old in my opinion.

On the other hand, if the OP continues to cuss and act immature, I'm sure a moderator will ban him very soon and he'll lose the opportunity to learn how to take better care of his fish.

I don't think hes had these fish for 2-3 years like he claims. They'd all be dead now. Best thing for the OP to do is shut down the tank, punch himself in the face, and get out of the hobby ASAP!!

Chill down bro I'm only 14 I thought I was doing pretty good for my first tank everyone else is trying to help me. And that's not my catfish is a redtail/shovel nose cross and I just got the gar pacu and cat. I know I have to get ride of them my friends got a 250

Hey "bro", I'm waiting for your ban for you trying to evade the language filter. And I'm 14 too, you don't see my keeping fish like an idiot that will outgrow my tank. You need to get rid of your Pacu, your Clown Knife, your Shovelnose Catfish, your Gar, and your Eel since it's brackish. Then you should probably get rid of your other fish as well sicne you will probably kill them eventually as well
