Nah, I went with a cheap cheap heater that a fairly knowledgeable fish store owner recommended instead of the one i originally had in my hands and after it malfunctioned twice killing shrimps i'd paid 4-8 bucks each for for a dozen at a time, i gave up.
I use the same tank for convict breeding now. Only the 3 largest one survived the sudden temperature rises and the convicts ate them when i made the switch
