I apologize. That last sentence was a doozy......
When's your birthday?
And maybe to us it's a couple scratches. But that's their baby.
And not only was she physically hurt by the negligence of big business, but
she's hurt emotionally. To the point of being afraid of shirts.

I understand, no hard feelings;). Yes, i agree id be livid if that was my kid and would deffinitely try and chew someone out for that, but in the end accidents do happen just be glad it wasn't any worse and that it was just a few scratches. But if you really think about it, how is more money going to make the kids arm better and make her not gonna be afraid of shirts? Time will fix it in the end, not money. And im 23 on the 30th to answer your question.

you're 21 days older than me........:irked:

Also, There's a fine line between accidents and negligence.

I agree. When I was that age, I would have been told to stop crying about a scratch, and I would have gotten a lecture on how life isn't fair. Sounds harsh, but guess what...It molded me into someone that dosen't cry over spilt milk. Lets face it. Kids get scratches, cuts and scrapes, no matter the source. Some day, she is going to trip over her own feet, fall down, and scrape her knee. Do you think she is never going to walk again because she will be afraid of falling? At three, she will be over the shirt phobia before the scratches even heal. Yeah, it sucks, but is it worth it? Something for nothing is nice, but who wants to be a theif, no matter how legal the form of stealing is. Maybe a recall is in order, but personal benefit? Dosen't sound right to me...

Uhh, i don't have kids but some of you are way too critical. The o.p. never said hes gonna go sue-happy. Think about if that was your kid, or you had to deal with a toddler being scared of wearing a shirt. Stop being so judgmental and relax.

I don't know if you are refering to my post or not, but I didn't mean for it to be taken that way. I was more talking to the people who were trying to talk him into lawsuits. I just used his daughter as an example, because she is the topic at hand here.

once again i never said i wanted to or was thinking of sueing i was just letting people know and i want to let them know so no other kid has to go threw this i dont give a crap about money but when it comes to my kid getting hurt i will do what i can to stop it from happening no kid should be affraid to wear a shirt spec. from "disney" the biggest market for kids and to all of you be judge mental i can tell you dont have kids cause when you child is shaking in your arms cause shes scared it breaks your heart

I'm sorry but everyone who keeps jumping on the band wagon to sue is a complete jackass. It's people like you who are to blaim for our failing society. It sucks that his daughter got cuts from it and id be mad to if it was my kid, if i did sue it would be to cover medical expences. But sueing just to be greedy and have a bunch of money is just wrong. Money can't fix everything. I blaim everyone who sues over frivoulus things for the downfall of our economy.

i agree with everythign ypu said up to the lsat sentence, our economy just sucks because people arent spending money.... jobs get cut, less money is spent more jobs get cut etc... thats why the economy sucks because everyone has no confidence in the markets

Um, this isn't why the economy is bad....

OT: Cory, that sucks man. Hope your little girl is alright. DEFINITELY contact Disney, and let them know what happened. Hopefully this is a frak accident, and not a faulty sewing machine, or something like that that will cause it too happen again. But most likely, it is being made across seas, by hand.

Glad your babe didn't get it harder. Def. get her checked out at the docs, make sure her shots are up to date!

Alot of people are saying it was a little scratch..has anyone really looked at those pictures, the poor little girls whole arm is the size of mabey and adult forarm, Im so sorry she got hurt like that. It could have been alot worse. Kids toss and turn all night long and the needle could have easily poked her in the wrong spot such as her eye, neck or a cruical vein. I would definitly contact someone high up to get those pj's recalled and let millions of others parents watch and look out for something that there little boy or girl could be wearing. Sueing would just be a bonus but hey if youre not someone like that then thats fine. I see how worried you are about youre daughter and ever since reading this thread i have checked every single new outfit and pj;s my little girl got for christmas.
Again i hope she gets better.

For one, contact them and tell them what happened. Two, when they give you an offer (such as non-monetary compensation) make a counteroffer for compensatory damages. Most likely at this point you will stop being contacted by a representative and start being contacted by a member of their legal team. If they agree to cover your costs (medical bills, maybe a small amount of hush money), I say you consider it good and not press for more. Punitive compensation is the bane of our legal system right now (the ridiculous amount of money every one is talking about).

If you don't feel comfortable with this, contact a lawyer and tell them your wishes. Not to get rich, but to make this known. No offense, but I wouldn't really take legal advise from anyone of here... unless they are a lawyer.
