I once made a purchase from ebay about $300.00 worth of crest whitening strips, (used to do a little buy and sell items). Anyway, I never received the items and the loser never return my calls, emails. Tried reporting to ebay - no help, tried my bank - no help. This has been going on for a good 2 months or so. Finally I reported the seller to IFS, Internet fraud services, which is associated with the FBI, After I called them, they kept me in touch how the investigation is going. A week later I received an email from the seller that he will send me the items express mail -plus give me a couple of extra box for the troubles he had cause me and he repeatedly apologized for all the inconvenience.
The best part is within a day or two the IFS called me back and ask how it went and if I got my items or money back. I told them everthing is good, so I ask them what she said to them and how he quickly tried to refund me. She explained that Internet fraud is taken seriously and if the seller does not cooperate the state in which he resides will and can sue them for a lot worst and even jail time.
Sorry, but I cant find the link ot IFS. Make sure you have all the documents, checks, auction page, emails, etc.. printed out and fax or mail to IFS.

Basically the above link can be used to report someone for illegal, fraudulent, copyrighted products, etc.. Note, it will normally take about 2 days for ebay to received the compaint/s. And more likely it will be automaticatically resolve from the item number/s being reported. After 4 warnings from ebay the seller will be banned from ebay.
So if we have over 10 complaints to ebay from different people, it wont take long for him to get banned.
Note: What more likely could happen is he get banned and he will just sign up with another ebay screen name/email address, however the good thing is that he will start with 0 feedback which hardly no one will trust.

Seriously though, this kinda stuff goes on too much. It's why I don't like paying for anything unless I got it in my hands first.

from what it sounds like in the past, most everyone has been thoroughly screwed lol
lately he has opened up a retail shop locally and he is advertising/selling A LOT of stuff, and seems to be working more by himself when it comes to selling fish and reselling smaller tanks.
he is also still in the business of selling very large tanks ... but i dont believe he is making the tanks himself, i think he has a few local builders doing most of the work, so that still leaves the door open for him not taking responsibility if/when something goes wrong
