PLEASE HELP!!! Geos dying...

your geos look like they may have a severe case of chilodenlla. they pretty much look the way my fish did. i used malachete green to cure worked great two 3 day doses and they were good. before i used the malachete green i lost about six fish after using it everyone had a full recovery

Would methylene blue work to cure this?

yes methylene blue will work to. i would have used it instead but dont have any in my area

if its chilodenella like i supect your severums will get it to. the first fish in my tank to get it wore the weak and more sensitive fish but eventully it spread to everyone else

If nobody disagrees that it is chilodenella, then I will start treatment for this on the remaining fish. Should I remove the melafix and pimafix first?

i would do at least 50% water change then start treatment. make sure you dont overdose or this could have ill effects. hope things work out with the rest of your fish goodluck.

Chilodonella was what I suspected too. I have my notes there in sticky thread. Sorry for delay of response.

1. Remove both melafix and pimafix.
2. Dose either formalin or malachite green. Follow instructions.
3. Keep water well aerated.

You can prove Chilodonella if you have a decent magnifying glass.
This could be another possibility...

Sign of infection :
A white film covers the body, mainly on the head but also on the fins and gills. The body of the fish becomes ulcerated and the fins frayed. In the latter stages of infection parts of the lips and head may become eaten away.

Unfortuantly if this is case, your probably already too late.

I have looked in this book and it says to use chloramine... This other book says salt. Leave salt in for 14 days make sure to leave aeration. I dunno....
