Channa Aurantimaculata easy to find in India, small in size and beautiful in pair in planted/biotope tank.

Hi, grows up to 18 inches and the tank is just 44 inches long.
Do you now where the C. aurantimaculatas live?
All i know, is that it must be near Dibrugarh in Assam, but nobody wants to , where they live exactly.
They need a cooling period for sure, maybe not so easy to do in Colcata too.

Last time, I visited Mumbai (last year) and I saw few fish stores in Mumbai selling them.
I knew it's native fish to India but I don't know how they got them though :)

i like to keep 2 senegal bichir, but what else i can keep with them ???
I keep my delhezi bichirs(very similar to senegal bichirs) with Angelfish and a group of aequidens pulcher (neonblue). Works very well for me and the aequidens have very impressive color and are very aggressive eaters...sometimes they even bite out piceses of the polys beefheart..maybe some species you could consider too ;)

availability of indo tiger is very low, you can say rare, all types of gar ia available here, but as you know gars are stiff if i keep gar i need to add more space front to back, that i can't do, arwana is a good idea, here bichirs and snake head are available but still my tank is too small for all of them for long term keeping, and i don't like eels

I would not say your tank is to small for snakeheads. There is some small gorgeous species of channa. Channa bleheri is one of them, Channa gachau is another. There is at least 10 species of channa that stays under 1'

Black ghostknives will grow too big for your tank, you can keep one for a few months or a year maybe.

HI FRIENDS HOW YOU DOING ?
BY THE WAY CAN YOU HELP ME THERE ?
