i still find it interesting that scientific institutions like the Humboldt University struggle years to get ansorgii, since almost all ansorgii turned out to be Pbb and you guys get them like senegals even in different color morphs. How do you explain that. Whats your secret, once you explain me that i will accept it.

I find it interesting that you can't accept the fact that the Polyterus ansorgii, we have are true Polypterus ansorgii. You say a lot of people can't accept the fact, they are paying so much for a "PBB"(ansorgii). The PBB are actually more expensive than the Polypterus ansorgii(you call them "PBB"). So people should be happy, they are getting a "PBB" for cheaper right? Unless you can prove us wrong with some ACTUAL evidence. Otherwise, it's pointless to say all this.

+1, if in fact the sp. ansorgii is just a color an shape morph due to location, of a PBB, why do you have to insult people owning ansorgii that it is a "common PBB" an not the "prized" ansorgii they thought it was. How is that REMOTELY possible when PBB is more rare and more sought after then what is commonly accepted by most as ansorgii? In fact if your theory some how pans out to be correct, then you actually made some people money, not a devastational loss as you seem to state it. Honestly without DNA testing, your theory holds no more weight then an 8th graders hypothesis in a science fair.

Pbb is as common as rats in its habitat and in nowhere rare. I just wonder about that discrepancy between the large amount of ansorgii in mfk and the complete abundance of them in the scientific world. thats what i can't understand and i would like to get an explanation for that.

There hasn't been much research on Bichirs. Why do you think that a lot of online sources still say Ansorgiis only grow up to 11" when they can hit 36"+?

Where do you get your information that humboldt university couldn't get ansorgii? That German article you read? You read one article And come to a conclusion that all ansorgii in the hobby are PBB... True science is always changing, because new theories, such as yours, are always popping up, and some are even proven right, but until the day you have scientific fact that your theory holds weight, it doesnt, and never will, it will only be as significant as an 8th grader creating a theory for their science project.

I love the Hao pics!

All, don't let ..... hijack the thread. This thread is about Ansogii not PBB or even identification. If you let her change the direction of the thread and respond to her comments then she wins. Just ignore. It's difficult but if no one responds she will move on.

I agree, lets wait a couple months and see updated pics of these platinum's. Personally I think they are washed out from the BB tank. Time will tell.

 "Hao pics". I don't think these are platinum; if you could move them to an all black tank and keep them in there for few weeks. That would be great.
