What is your preffered food for them ours likes beef heart but don't feed it alot of it mostly gets pellets but have never seen it eat them but the thing is growing super fast. We got it at about 6 to 8 inches and now must be over a foot this only took about 4 months is that a normal growth rate?

I'm not sure how big the ornates get but i've read some kinds can grow over 3 feet but you need around a 500 gallon tank and right now that is just a dream.
