I trust you put the difference in the Salvation Army bucket RIGHT?

Actually, I am generally the honest type, but I didn't realize it until I got home. Whe you spend $300+ at the hardware store, you kinda lose track of things until you look them over a second time.

Not to hijack a thread or anything. How will you insulate this thing. So the water will be in contact with the plywood. Won't that like.......................... idk, not work, lol. I'm not a DIY kinda guy so maybe I'm :screwy:.

I'll have a pond liner inside of it:) The water should never touch the wood.

I'm going insulate this with 1.5" closed cell foam on the inside (under the pond liner), and I'll probably use fiberglass insulation between the "studs" on the outside. I'll insulate the filter with reflectex. I want this thing to be efficient.

And for the lid, I have a 7.5x4' sheet of 1/2" glass, and I'll get some insulation to lay on it when I'm not looking in.

come on, really? This is all. I expected crazy digging a second basement and pouring concrete floor. this could be done in a weekend. Now to thin Pharaoh out a little more in the DIY world. lol

The plan is to make this simple. Weekend my ass, we could do this in an afternoon.

afternoon prior to refreshments? Otherwise we will take three hours to figure out where to start. We all talk to much when we are all in the same room.
I'll have a keg.

Multiple projects...YAH! Bring 'em on! Nothing better than doing a bunch of projects at once.
