Not going to put it in the room with the other tanks? I would go with whatever floats your boat. 4x4s or 2x6s I don't think it will matter. It will be strong either way. Just depends on the space you have for the outside. 2x6s would make it wider.

It's going in the room that's connected to the tank room. I gutted it so I can leave the other tanks up and running

with as much braceing as you have, 3/8" ext.plywood would work. be better than MDF that stuff thinks it's gonna get damp it falls apart.

was jut gonna post it... i did a lil experiment wth mdf didnt work out well....


a solid 2x4 frame is more than strong enough you dont need to use 4x4s save the few extra bucks for filtration or fish

I'm still debating the filtration. I did add a 110 to the fish room though, so it will go on the big filter

Did you buy a new one or is it the 110 from the living room? That would be sad if it was from the living room. That would be bad news.

Well... 300+265+125+110= 800G you might be pushing it adding it on to the setup, but it could possibly work. I a planning on having 1K on mine.

I'll be adding and re-arranging fish for sure, but the jardini is going to have the 300 to himself. He keeps whipping that catfish.
