just go with Belonesox, they are smaller and can be an interesting display for the classroom

I wouldn't.. That would be a liability if the students stuck their fingers in the tank.

Red wolf all the way.

He did mention that he wanted a fish like piranha and snakeheads except they're illegal. A wolf fish isn't as dangerous as a snakehead or a piranha.

Also, I highly doubt the kids would put their fingers in the tank if the teacher mentioned that you can lose a finger or a chunk of flesh from these fish.

thanks for all the replies. It's certainly giving me some research to do. I thought about an oscar because of their great personality, but for some reason I've never been a big fan of them when they get big. The red wolf looks very interesting. It looks like I'll need to set the 125 up sooner. Are any of these fish illegal in the U.S.?

I also live about 1/2 hour from school and would rather take the equipment down for the summer and take it home. How difficult would that be?

Thanks

Taking stuff down for the summer would depend what type of transport you plan to use, and how many muscle friends you have :D

mosaic gar for the top, oscar or GT for the middle, large common pleco for the bottom. just suggestions not saying they are the best suggestions. I like the puffer idea too.

Umm.. they would be equal to snakeheads and surpass "most" pirahna's in dangerousness..
