Project Suvattii

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Been a while since I updated. I have not moved the puffer to the 30 gallon yet. I need to figure out a way to protect the heater cord. Turns out the arrowhead is a cord nipper. This is in the 65.

In the 30 gallon I just put in a new heater. It is a titanium that is mounted horizontally, so much more cord is exposed. I need to make a cord guard or figure out something different to protect it.
Oh no!

Most use the plastic cord organizers. I use black plastic pvc for powerheads against puffers/triggers.

I was thinking of that same thing, lol. I found the perfect stuff but its like 30 feet worth... still looking for a smaller amount.

The 29g with my suvatti has the heater way up at the top. Maybe 1/2" of cord exposed. The little narrow line in qt has this on the powerhead & heater. I seriously doubt the suvatti would be powerful enough to destroy it.

I just ordered some of the spiral type wrap to go around the cord. Its a 6mm which should cover up the cord nice and tight. Will how that works out. While the arrowhead is very personable during feeding the 65B is totally wasted on it, the 30 will be better. Then the 65B can be used for something else. Hard to believe how much more active the hairy puffer is in comparison.

I also finished my garage tank rack project! Hairy puffer has lower left 65B and the arrowhead is in the one on the right. The center 30 gallon is where I want to move the arrowhead.

I have been slow about moving the Arrowhead over to the smaller 30 gallon tank. It is a huge waste of a 65B for the puffer for sure. I have prepped the 30g with a sponge pre-filter for the Aquaclear 70 and I added some spiral cord protector for the heater cord. I just hate the sand Im currently using and not sure If I want to use it the 30g. Im thinking of trying out a different sand just not sure on which one yet. The stuff Im currently using is called "River of Doubt" by CaribSea, this is the black and white mix. Looks a bit 'fake' to me. Seems like it needs some tans mixed in.

Anyway lame pic update of pre-filter and cable protector, lol
