Public Outrage halts states execution of Snake head ...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If it is a giant snake head, its a Channa micropeltes[wiki].

Imagine if rather than removing the fish from the owner and killing it, the government just puts more regulations on the guy- to meet the maximum demands of the fish- like forcing people to get bigger tanks... might not be too bad.

I think this is crap. If he bought this before the ban and has had it for 10 years. This fish does not deserve to die because of this law. If they have that big of a problem with it then move it somewhere else. Don't kill it. Fight On

This is ridiculous. "Someone" just wants to exert authority. Ok so this fish is illegal now. It wasn't when he got it and can't survive in NY anyway. The powers that be love easy targets though. They get to make an example and say "look what we accomplished can we get more money now?" How sad this is. Anyone involved in this should hang their heads in shame.
While at the same time their are other "illegals" in this country doing tons of damage from south of the border. They live in every state and put a serious drain on all of our resources but the government doesn't enforce those laws. It's hard to deport an illegal........you get tagged as racist. Yet we'll muster all of our legal power to make sure a pet that is loved and kept in a glass box for 10 years already gets the death sentence. This is sick. Man I am truly sorry. Keep fighting. Ship him somewhere. Maybe we could demand that if they uphold this law then they should uphold "all" laws. Let's not pick and choose.

i hear you.... i had to edit...

it is illegal to ship or cross state lines with the fish....

thats just sad that someone is going to such lengths to kill this fish! its a 10 year old fish-its near the end of its lifespan anyways.. they are acting like Chris has malicious intent to release this fish in the waterways to wreak havoc on the city..

its obvious he loves this fish- instead of killing it, why cant they just put strict regulations on him? do home visits to ensure he hasnt released it? or fine him? its all about money anyways..

there are more important issues than killing a mans pet.

there is so much going on in society now of importance... to make this such an issue is rediculious... so i totally agree with you navygirl.
