pup not acting right

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks everyone. It has been a roller coaster ride. This morning he was looking fairly normal and went after some krill. Will check on him at lunch time again. We are hoping if we can get enough food in him he will get stronger and possibly overcome whatever it is that is ailing him. One thing is for sure, he is a fighter! Would love for this to end on a happy note of survival.

Well his two brothers got homes today. But the little guy is still holding on. He was fine acting normal this morning and all day until about 9:00 tonight i went back down and he was doing it again. Hes not eating and getting skinny. I tryed feeding him everything but wont eat. All i can do is wait. Wish him luck.

Aww he is now wedged in my heart. I have such a soft spot for "special" fish. I really hope he keeps his strength up.

I just had my first batch 1 month ago. My little male is acting the same way... he did the curling thing for a couple days then stopped. He also flips over and I have to right him. All I have been able to get this guy to eat is red wigglers and nibbles tilapia, shrimp ect? I am thinking maybe its a vitamin deficiency. Did yours ever "surf" the current on your filter? Mine would do this for hours at top water. anyways i flipped him over today and fed him chopped wigglers and he ate within 10 min of being flipped. I also soaked the worm bits in liquid childrens vitamins. He also munched on a hikari sinking pellet. not sure if he ate it but completly shredded it!

Can I add vitamins to the water? If so what kind i need to try something and don't want to loose my first pup! maybe its a thimin b1 deficiency? saw it on nat geo "zombie aligators" the gators and salmon on the show had nerve damage from not enough b1 thimin...???

My is just barely making it. Hes not really eatting just chewing on ghost shrimp and killing them. Not really for sure whats going on with him all i can do is wait and see what happens.
