Why would you kill more innocent fish...? Just "pay a visit" to the manager's house.

lol i couldnt do that i already gotta case, im guess im just a spitefull futhermucker!! if the lfs kills 1 or 2 of MY fish, theyre losing theyre entire stock!! (maybe $10,000+ of merchandise!)

:(
i had a rtc i gave to my lfs because it out grew my tank and they said they would keep it in the display tanks and not sell it i come back a dew weeks later his co-worker said he sold it and it was brought back a few days later dead......

I live about 20 mins from marine warehouse and used to go weekly also. I always get helped, but I don't ask for any advice. Some of the employees know what they are doing but they have certain employees for certain areas. If the saltwater guy was not there when u brought your fish in then the freshwater or planted guy most likely doesn't know about how to treat it. I only go there occasionally now, especially for the freshwater selection. I can't find one comparable and most of the fish are in good shape and they will make a deal on a fish that is slightly injured and such. I will say that one time I was in there and was disgusted when I saw a baby lima shovelnose in a tank with about 4 puffers just picking on it at their leisure. I reached into the tank and moved it myself. I have a couple suggestions for fish stores. The first one is called the coral corral. http://www.thecoralcorral.com/. It is owned by a couple of nice, knowledgable people I know(Craig and Pierre). I would only go during the week when they are there. On the weekend the employees they have I don't like at all. It is hard to find, But worth it. Very cool place and set up with 650 gallon tubs in a warehouse. The second one is also saltwater only. Fish and other itchy stuff http://www.ichthythings.com/main/. Very knowledgable staff. Not the most personable, but they try. Sometimes it is hard to get service because at night and saturdays they are slammed. They have a good selection of very healthy specimans. Very clean and well kept store. The third is a small store of fresh and saltwater. Countryside aquariums, http://www.countrysideaquariums.com/. Nice staff: not the most knowledgable, but will try to get u what u want. The last place I mainly go is pets unlimited in clearwater http://www.petsunlimitedfl.com/. Not extremely knowledgable either, but most of us already know more than the employees anyway. An all around petstore I go to get tortoise supplies and some freshwater fish. Their fish room is dark and u can't always see the fish, But they have a descent selection of freshwater. U won't find anything special or unusual there, but I still go. Hope this helps you out. All these stores are oldsmar\clearwater area.

That is bad news. It sound like some of the stores here in St Pete also.

I would request some money from them....

Man somone should build a fish mega store.... only have mfkers working in there.. though there would need to be a boxing ring in there as well lol.

Sorry about your loss man, my undulated was killed while at the lfs... sucks

But good job on keeping your cool, like everyone else i probably would have kicked some ass and got myself in some good trouble. The crazy thought of punching somone in the face is still okay, hope i grow out of that.

A 20inch Aro of any sorts can easily bust through basically any glass top even with bricks. I would more so assume that it jumped out because of carelessness, than it being sold.

Anywho, sorry for your loss. I am however glad that you were able to salvage some of your fish at least although it will never be the same.
