get them quick. rays in the uk have gone up in price by 50% since earlier on in the year.wouldnt be suprised they would be banned by cites this time next year and then you would have to pay a fortune for them.
that was thw case with the blue eye panaques catfish and the zebra plec. in the uk they use to cost 20-40 for them 2 species not so long ago. now the blue eye panaques cost £1000. and the once common zebra plec £200-300

wow, crazy! i think i have a decent bit of room left for my ray in the aquascape. expeciallly while hes young. when he gets bigger ill have to give him like how sand bottom i guess, or close to it. what about avoiding getting stung by one of these bad boys? how does that all work? i mean im running a sump and heaters in teh sump etc but still assuming my hands will have to be in the tank sometimes so ..

go sand bottom. the rays will appreciate it more. me? i keep them in bare bottom glass. cos they poo like humans and id rather sypthon that crap asap rather than let it rot in the sand.
rays shed there stings too and if u do water changes and clean the sand you may get stung by a freshly shedded one, but in general rays seldom attack human hands.
when i clean the tank i always make sure my hand is facing the rays head and not the rear. common sense really.

not sure if a disconnected stinger is as potent as a fresh one. but, i wouldnt like to find out.
them things are sharper than most people realise. ive examined one and they are needle sharp and hard as nails.
ive accepted that one day i may get stung by my own. so ive done research. haha

constantly involving? you need to get a life! its just a random pic for the profile ... and the explination had very little to do with the gf. anyways. bring your jelousy or whatever your getting on with else where. i believe they sell lives at your local grocery store so go pick one up while your looking for a different topic ..

anyways, back on the rays. ive heard of the rectic before but know nothing about it. how are the size and money wise?
