Help!
I bought a new RT-Catfish 4 days ago.
He's 4 inches and not accepting any pellets or dried shrimps. I tried to put some shrimps near his mouth and he dosen't eat it. But when i get an earthworm he rushed at my hands and snatched it. Area near my house dissent provide live foods. I got these worms from my garden and now i think there are very less left. What should i do now????
Please help me i even tried this- tie a shrimp with thread and wiggle up down in front of catfish mouth. But he ignored it too.
Please help guys.

Would just wait. Maybe was being fed something different at the lfs. Give some time and I have s feeling it’ll be eating everything. Even tankamtes lol. Make sure ur tank is cycled and nitrates are low (<50ppm) using a liquid test kit. Got a few cichlids that’ll make a lot of waste. Poor water quality will stress fish and curb their appetite.

Thx man. The lfs owner told me he fed him pellets at night but he's ignoring pellets and even shrimps at my home. I don't get it.

I have a pond, 15000 gallons. Ill move him when he reaches 10 inches. But what should i do about the feedings?
But what about the main problem? I still didn't get the answer. Anyone have any suggestions? Thx

Yes leave him be for three days then offer some pellets if he refuses wait another 3 days then repeat. If he doesn't eat after a week there is something else going on with that cat should feed on anything after a week

As mentioned repeatedly above..

What your fish need is time. Transitioning to its new environment.
What you need is patience. He is adjusting..

Might need to closely observe how the old inhabitants react to the new addition too.
