wait a sec, what's a bala?? And urr what type of tube should i put in?? The last time I tried to put in a cut transparent bottle, the BGK steered clear from it. The RTC's should be going to the blue tank soon, as soon as i figure out how they are going to fight with the giant gouramis for food.

By the way, for being such a nice fish owner do you all wanna help me by giving me a few points on why the subject history should be kept and not did without? (need to write a speech on it....) I'll be a better one if you all can help me, please?

well i over stocked a 90 gall as i have talked about before not knowing that i was doing so...the red tail cat was the last thing to go..the tube i'm talking about is clear plastic and sticks to the bottom they like to stay in those lil tunnels

if it was up to me having now just gotten my 1st endli they eat sorta passively then again the one i have is severely sick and the ghost knife also eats like that so i would say they should be alright tank mates...the red tail can fend for himself a lot of times and will steal food form less aggro fish so get him out of the way like i said he really needs to be in something different

where as the bala needs room to swim they are very very active so him and the red tail should do ok for a while where as the the knife and the endli should go good together...either wya the endli needs to get out cuz the red tail catfish will be swollowing him in no time...like i said bare mins 50 galls for the red and bala and 20 galls for the endli and ghost should hold u off for a bit...

going from 5-12 gallons isn't getting you anywhere at all.

You all are really hard core. Well I'm glad that the RTC is a hardy fish coz last time one was sick but it healed yay....

Oh right, regarding the bala.. you know when i brought it home from the fish store, urmmm the endli sort of damaged it a little bit (while in the bag) and now it's dead. I examined it and realized that one of its fins broke, and its bottom belly was like de-skinned? Crude but true...

And if u all want me to change tanks, forget it, my mom is complaining that I've made the house a fish farm after my dad made it a jungle so i can buy fish but not fish tanks....

I guess I'll just throw the fishes into the big tank. Just wondering though, inside the blue tank is 3 giant gouramis, 4 parrot fish or whatever you call it, and 1 polypetrous or something like that. That poly is like 20cm? But the fish in that tank are reallly nice fish, they live together without harming each other. Or at least they haven't for like 5 years?

I'm feeling guilty that i let my fish die, for that I'm not going to come on to this forum for a while, and I'll not buy fish for a longer while

Ok, wait for my pictures of my fishes in that tank like a few days later, really busy rushing my history project

woops, my thick skin has brought me back. Turns out that I don't feel guilty any longer, cause in that short span of time, I realized how brilliant I was again.. woohoo.

Ok away with the ego. Now on to something serious. I'll move my fish a few days later because I think they're all quite traumatized with all the previous movings so I'm giving them some time to relax before I come back as the Sadistic Mover, muhahahaha... choke choke....

Sorry, for some reason I thought you were from the phillipines and you said you spent all your money on fish so... You can cover the filter with nylon. Then research before you buy a new fish.

The endlis ( oh by the way I bought a new endli today also! Its about 8 cm?) are together with a 7cm marbled goby?

I'm only a year older than you so I can understand if you can't get a big tank because your parent's won't let you, but buying new fish after dozens of people told you your tank was already overstocked is clearly irresponsible. And although a 13 year old may not be able to upgrade a few hundred gallons, a 13 year old can walk to the fish store and return some of the bigger fish.

Growing out a fish in a smaller tank until it gets bigger is fine(if you click the youtube link in my sig, you can see that I'm growing out fish too) but there are still limits to how small the "smaller" tank is. Assuming you're new to keeping monster sized fish such as red tailed catfish, it probably sucks that everybody is flaming you and saying that you need to upgrade, but it's for the benefit of the fish.

History thing: Sort of general, but you can say we can learn from mistakes made in the past and make sure we don't repeat it(sounds like fishkeeping :screwy:)
You can give examples based on what you learned. If you learned about WW2 for example, you could write about how much destruction the (2?)atomic bombs dropped on Japan caused. By knowing about that, we can take steps to prevent using nuclear weapons in future wars and potentially save billions of lives.
Best I could think of, been on summer break for a while :grinno::grinno::grinno:

Thanks guys (thanks for the history thing also)

Ok I'll go get some nylon to cover the holes in about a week and about the research part, I was thinking of buying some other fishes I saw in a fish shop, let me show you a few pictures of them later on, thanks once again

And well given the kind of english I was using, it's not a surprise you thought that I wasn't from an english country (no offense to any Phillipines here) so it's ok....

Oh and by the way, I just witnessed how violent how a redtail catfish is when I saw my big redtail catfish trying to swallow a new and smaller black ghost knife fish that I am now keeping with my balas and small fishes.

So it was kind of freaky when I saw it and I even knocked the fish glass but it wouldn't let it go.... So i took of the lid and only after I held it did it let go of the black ghost knife fish in its mouth.

It was kind of cool how the other redtail and Black Ghost were crowding around and they even seemed to be like trying to get the small Black Ghost out too!

Luckily, the black ghost is alright now. (but its fin, you know the wavy thing on the bottom, seems to be injured a little bit, like 2 or 3 small cuts on them, is it ok?)
