Yeah, long term a 55 is way to small for those 3 fish. You say 18 gallons each but the cichlids don't care to share evenly.
Thanks for posting your results. I agree... allotted space per fish does play a part. How much? We don't know. Do we? Each fish is it's own individual with it's own personality, partly as to the norm within a given species, and partly as to environmental factors. I raise my jacks with lots of dithers. I remove the dithers to other tanks when the JDs start to become a threat. It works for me. I end up with Jacks that pretty much ignore the smaller fish around them, even to the extent of gently pushing an injured (caught by filter intake) dither out of his school of guarded fry, and I mean fry! (1/4" at best).I didnt misread anything you wrote.
Indeed. If I was to do it all again it would have been done very differently... Wouldn't have over stocked from the start (had 2 EBJD, 2 JD and 2 jewels) and I would have gotten a 75 (or rather told my wife not to get me a 55...). Also don't know if I would have picked up the bleekeri. Lovely fish and has actually worked out really well (dispite what others have said) but I don't know if I'd still do him again.
Short of a keyboard, it is termed texting. Had it been on a keyboard I would have called it typing, but in either event the auditory aspect is missing and therefore not considered saying or having been said.
Would you still like to argue semantics with more of your "Wo" mockery?
