If they aren't being released, does it matter? If a petshop were to sell them, maybe more problems would occur. (where many inexperienced hobbyists would purchase them)
Who is to say this guy is experienced? I would assume not so seeings how hes selling piranaha in flordia, in which they are banned.
Also an experienced fish keeper would not pay 400 for a 55gallon with 3 red bellys. an inexperienced fish keeper may.
Would you pay 400 for a 55 with 3 redbellys? and you are experienced. I don't think so man. Someone that has no idea what a 55 goes for...well yea.

my worry is with the potential buyer much more than the seller...the guy who buys them might just want p's because of reputation and to show his friends how cool and badass they are (and by derivative, he is), but at some point he gets bored, and the problem is, what happens next?

I had P's for years before they died and I bought them illegally in Connecticut from someone who breeds them. No harm done there

Man your really trying to start something huh? Dude how can you speak about what this man know's about this hobby? I can promise you that your wrong.. Let's not make this personal.. We can all have a discussion and act our age? I hope! ;)

Bottom Line: Every one on this forum should understand that not obeying the laws, like em or not is what gives fishkeepers a bad name. Those laws are no different than any other law, and our personal opinion is just that. If its against the law to sell these fish in the state of Florida, then someone should shut them down, and confiscate the fish. What is done with those fish at that point is probably like what is done to ilegal fireams when seized, they are destroyed. We dont take fish from the wild and let them go and if we choose to live by the law, even if someone is selling these fish is just not buy them. If someone feels it their duty to report this then thats their right and I for one dont think we should flame a guy for doing what he thinks is right. However if someone feels they should do that more power to you because you also have rights, but i dont think its in the best interest of this forum to do it publicly, if you gotta cut on someone that has done nothing wrong why not do it by email or PM.

They are dumped in the waterways, I know man. I Completely agree with ya.
Trust me guys there are plenty of restricted fish I would love to keep or just see inperson, but I know deep down its better that they are banned, because I know they will end up in the wrong tanks, owned by the wrong people, and end up being released in the waterways I love to go fishing in. You have to look at a bigger picture, and it all starts small.

my stance on this is, that you can keep whatever you like if it were up to me...but if you do keep them at least don't sell them on a public site where pretty much anyone can buy them. It is irresponsible to put them up on craigslist like that, and I don't see why anyone should be flamed for reporting it to FWC

Do you think that having a opinion is flaming someone? Because that's all that i've stated... If this person feel's it's there mission to stop illegal fish keeping so be it... But we are never going to see eye to eye on this topic.
There are thousands of people who would never let these fish go in the wild. And by truning each other in we are just making the chance of the Asian Aro's Black Ray's ect... Ever being Legal very slim. :(
