RTC as a human food?

I heard RTC was pretty good, but people dont like it cause its dark meat, which is why you see the RTC/TSN hybrids cause they want the white TSN meat with the growth rate and girth of the RTC...

Im planning to eat mine too if I cant find a home for it soon, its currently at 5" :D need some more growing (1 ft +) before its being consume :D BUT catfish Im not that fond off, cause it got a lot of bones

BUT I wonder how a 12"+ IT (datnoid) taste like.. mmmmmmm :D maybe i should go buy one from pet shop and cook it than wait for mine to grow up :eek: ;)

I was planning to do the same for an arapima giga but at the cost of $150 and license require to keep.. I changed my mind

LOL :ROFL: i love catfishes but never really tasted my own catfish from MY tank...:eek: i can eat catfishes from the restaurants since i don't even know who it is...but eating your own fish you raised since it was small is kinda a hard to take task if you asked me...lol but to be true and all i never really ate catfishes before...well maybe once when i was small but this is now.

i think im getting the feeling with this thread...i may change the ways us fish keepers act to our fishes...we may just be buying them to grow big and then eat it later...:eek: lol hmm you guys ever wonder what a lungfish taste like? :barf::yuck::headshake:werd::hitting::ROFL:
 
well i would never personaly eat one of these because i love there looks but yes on google i have seen natives eating them straight out of the river
