Rtc & Snc tank mates?

Ok last question revolving to the topic. Will a tsn grow about the same rate as a rtc?

not quite. my rtc was 6" when I added him to the pond the TSN was about 12" now they are both between 24-25" so the tsn grew a bit slower

tsn is a lot less bulky but will gain length about the same (in nature tsn is a longer fish than rtc) but they both have spurts so one my race ahead then not seem to grow at all for a while.

Ok I have tsn that's the same size as my rtc (3"). Will my rtc eat him?

really depends on the fish. My rtc is in with several 6" catfish and other small fish and he doesn't even bother them so.................maybe

it depends on which species of shovel nose you have. some get really big and others about a foot. go on a website for buckhorn crates. 1800 543 4454. they have huge plastic crates that make awsome fish takes. especially good for housing monster fish while you are saving for a big tank.
