Tbh I see where Water is coming from, bigger is better. but its the pushy way that shes saying it. its condensending. and then the 4chan picture just made the whole thing immature.
All in all Yes bigger is better , Water is right. BUT its also true, after living there for a long time that England has tiny little houses with tiny little rooms and everything there costs about 3 times what it does in north america. I have a 5x3x2 wide and there's no way i could've had that in England.
I can straighten this argument out fairly easily,
Swarsh: If you want to keep the aro in that tank, go for it. It's your tank and don't let people push you around over an internet forum. If you really care about the longterm health of the fish then you would just choose a different stocking. as Water stated, its the width that's important. its better that the fish has 1' less in length, than 1' less in width. Personally, I witnessed that a lot of people in England keep fish in smaller tanks than over here. and not in a cruel way. they just tend to stock more to the minimum. whereas a lot of people on MFK go over that minimum and keep the fish in huge tanks. You have to understand the mentality of monsterfishkeepers on this forum. so they will defend their argument.
Water: Do you own an arowana? if you do then I hope you keep it in a 8'x3'x'3 or you will look like a hippocrit. I understand 100% where you are coming from but by keeping on at this guy all youre really doing is prolonging the argument. you gave your valuable advice, wether he takes it or not, you can be satisfied that you did your part to educate him.
Guys, we are all MFKers lets try to get along!
