sand!!

im switching to sand and need to know which kind is good to get...dont have any lfs to get any maybe petco..
 
I use play sand and it's good because me pleco likes do dig alot so the sand is coarse enough that it doesn't float into the filter.
It looks nice too :)

yea im using an fx5 on the current tank that im switching and dont want it clogging
 
Use pool filter sand. You can get it from a pool supply store, usually around 7 to 10 bucks per 50 pounds. It is the best, most uniform and cleanest by FAR!!! I just switched to it recently and LOVE IT! Sand is the way to go.

any particular brand?
 
I use multipurpose sand from Home Depot. It is a must to pre rinse the stuff. 50lbs bag for about $4.00 USD.
